Corrosion-Resistant Titanium Seamless Pipe with ASTM F67 Standards
Titanium tubes can be divided into two types according to their shape: round tubes and square tubes. In comparison, the circular area of round tubes is the largest under the condition of equal circumference, allowing it to transport more fluid. However, when curved, a round tube is weaker than a square or rectangular tube in terms of strength.
In terms of performance, the material of titanium tubes can be varied. For example, GR5 titanium alloy, with the material code of Ti6Al4V, has a higher tensile strength exceeding 800 and yield strength of around 30. Moreover, with a density of 4.5g/cm3, titanium alloy is much stronger than other industrial structure design materials, creating high strength, good rigidity, and light weight parts.
Titanium alloy is praised for its high strength and outstanding temperature resistance. Normally, when operating within a temperature range of 150 to 500 degrees Celsius, titanium alloy won’t decay its strength, remaining intact for consistently long periods of time.
Furthermore, titanium alloy offers an excellent corrosion resistance. It won’t suffer from the corroding effects of seawater, alkali chlorine, nitric acid and sulfuric acid.
