Square Titanium Tube with Customizable Thickness and Silver Finish
Titanium tubes come in two shapes: round and square.The round shape has the largest circular area when measured under equal circumference, therefore allowing for more fluid to be transported. Round tubes, however, have certain limitations, such as when subject to plane bending, they are not as strong as square or rectangular tubes.
Performance-wise, titanium tubes are available in materals such as Gr1, Gr2, and Gr5. The material Gr5, for instance, is Ti6Al4V, offering a tensile performance of over 800 and a yield of approximately 30. Its density of 4.5g/cm3 is much higher than that of other industrial structure design materials, making it suitable for creating parts of high strength and rigidity yet light weight, such as mechanical parts, structural parts and skeletons.
Titanium alloy has remarkable characteristics. It has high strength and heat resistance, which allows it to be worked for a prolonged period in 450 to 500 degrees Celsius, with the strength not affected. In comparison, the working environment of ordinary metals can only manage a temperature between 150 to 500 degrees Celsius. Moreover, titanium alloys have increased immunity to corrosive materials, such as seawater, alkali, chlorine, nitric acid and sulfuric acid. In conclusion, titanium alloys are worth considering for many applications.
